European Film Academy has announced the titles of the 51 films (from 31 European countries) on 2017´s EFA Feature Film Selection, the list of feature fiction films recommended for a nomination for the European Film Awards 2017, including The Teacher.

ANIFILM Competition of Feature Films is dominated by European entries this year. Galina Miklínová’s The Oddsockeaters is the only 3D CGI animated film in the final selection and the only one Czech/Slovak entry in the competition.

Anifilm 2017 takes place in Třeboň, Czech Republic 2nd - 7th May 2017.

The Czech Film and Television Academy (CFTA) has revealed the nominations for the 24th Czech Lion Annual Awards.

The most nominations throughout all the categories have been obtained by the films Masaryk (Prominent Patient), Anthropoid and Učitelka (The Teacher).

At the 54. Gijon International Film Festival (Spain) Mr. Michal Novinski won FICX Award for the Best Original Score and Mr. Juraj Fábry won the "GIL PARRONDO" Award for the Best Art Direction, both of them for the film The Teacher (2016).
